2 members of our dedicated support team, Leon (22) and Louis (24), were informed on Friday that they each passed their RO6 written exam in Financial Planning. This means that after years of hard work and determination they have both attained all of the necessary qualifications required to become a Financial Planner!
We took them both on as apprentices a couple of years apart and they have since taken and passed Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) exams RO1-RO6 along with various additional Financial Planning administration exams.
Our first apprentice joined us back in 2013, and we’re proud to have welcomed 12 other apprentices since. We have given them the opportunity to step into the financial services industry and see what doors it can open, with apprentices beginning courses in marketing, financial planning and business administration.
Our director Julie is a true believer in gifting younger staff with an opportunity they might not necessarily get elsewhere. She believes apprenticeships are the way forward- you get experience, qualifications AND get paid. We coach or staff the real job, not just how to pass an exam.
Our staff communicate directly with clients and can see first-hand the positive impact we have on people’s lives. We show them how rewarding a career in financial services can be if you care about the people you’re working with; staff and clients alike.
We know that the growth mentality that Julie installed within PenLife is part of the reason why our staff retention levels are so high and in turn why we won our Professional Adviser ‘Best Financial Advisers To Work For’ Award.
