14th February 2025

York based Chartered Financial Planning firm, PenLife Associates, has raised an impressive £6,395 for local charity, Menfulness.
The PenLife team was thrilled to share the final fundraising total with Jack Woodhams, Co-Founder and Trustee of Menfulness.
Expressing his gratitude at PenLife’s fundraising efforts, Jack explained: “Our partnership with PenLife throughout 2024 has been truly incredible, and we are immensely grateful for their dedication and generosity. Raising over £6,000 is simply amazing. Their fundraising will directly fund our counselling and support services, making a profound impact. Everything we achieve is built on collaboration and friendship; we can’t do it alone. This generosity will make a real difference in the lives of the men who need support and the families who feel the ripple effect. Thank you. “
Menfulness provides a safe and supportive space for men to connect, socialise, and engage in activities that promote both mental and physical well-being. Donations play a crucial role in sustaining these vital services, including counselling for men in need, and spreading the message to more men.
Throughout 2024, PenLife raised funds through a variety of initiatives, including a charity golf day, an in-house snack box, participation in the York Half Marathon, a quiz night, a cake bake sale, and even selling paninis in celebration of National Panini Day!
Committed to making a positive impact, PenLife carefully selects charities within the York area and beyond that are close to their hearts and those of their clients. This year, PenLife is proud to be supporting OSCAR’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity as their Charity of the Year.
OSCAR’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity is dedicated to supporting children diagnosed with brain tumours and their families, raising awareness, and funding essential research to improve diagnosis times, increase survival rates, and enhance the quality of life for children undergoing treatment.
Founded in memory of nine-year-old Oscar Hughes from York, the charity extends its support to children and families across the country who are navigating life with a brain tumour.
Nina Wright, Director at PenLife Associates, commented, “We are incredibly proud to be supporting OSCAR’s and the outstanding work they do. Their commitment to funding vital research and providing essential support to families affected by childhood brain tumours is truly inspiring. It’s an honour for us to contribute to such a meaningful cause, and we are excited to play our part in raising both awareness and much-needed funds for this incredible cause.”
