Kriss Brining

Financial Planner

"The three things I love about my job are helping clients create plans to achieve their goals, I enjoy taking the time to get to know clients and understand what they want out of life, and having a supportive team. "

Work

Kriss joined PenLife back in 2018 as an Administrator and quickly progressed to be Tom Hughes’s dedicated support. After three years of hard work and determination, he successfully qualified as a Financial Planner in 2021 and now looks after his own clients.

Kriss particularly enjoys working on retirement planning because he finds it rewarding to help demystify clients’ investments and pensions. Renowned for getting the job done promptly and efficiently with no-nonsense, Kriss is a great example of what PenLife is all about!

Having been through the exam pathway, Kriss understands the challenges this can bring, so he’s always on hand to help those team members who are following the same route as him.

Rest and play

Kriss was born and raised in Scarborough, and loves being by the seaside. He lived in York for three years while at university and played rugby part-time for York City Knights.

He then spent a couple of years in Salford, playing for the Salford Red Devils, before returning to the Knights in 2019. 2022 is the year he decided to retire from rugby, putting an end to an 11-year playing career.
