Reviews and Ratings for Financial adviser Louis Maddison, York

Chartered Financial Planner

"The three things I love most about my job are meeting new people and making connections, being able to provide direction for people in need, and the fact that my work doesn’t feel like work."

Work

Louis’s proudest moment as a Financial Planner was achieving Chartered status at the age of just 26 after eight years of mostly continuous studying and sacrifices. Today, he uses that hard-earned knowledge to help a wide variety of different clients.

Louis focuses on general holistic financial planning, including Inheritance Tax assessment and solutions and AIM options. He can provide advice across a range of areas, including Venture Capital Trusts, pensions, ISAs, General Investment Accounts, and bonds both offshore and onshore.

Rest and play

Louis is a big adrenaline junkie and loves activities such as sky diving, cliff jumping and off-roading on his adventure touring motorbike. He also often partakes in physical challenges such as Tough Mudder.

Louis has a passion for helping others and tries to visit the homeless in York when he can. Louis has also recently registered to be a volunteer for Dementia Forward. This will involve helping advise members of the public in his spare time who have been unfortunately diagnosed with young-onset dementia.

Louis in the spotlight

On an ideal weekend, you can find me:

Riding my motorbike to Wales or Scotland to enjoy their beautiful roads – possibly with a little bit of off-roading.

My favourite holiday destination is:

Anywhere in South East Asia.

If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a medal in:

Talking, especially talking loudly! I’ve been known to give myself a headache.

When the dessert menu arrives, I’m looking for:

Brownies! But only the slightly crusty on the outside and gooey on the inside ones.

My pet peeve is:

People who don’t have manners.

The best gift I’ve ever received is:

An experience of swimming with sharks in a tank.

The three people at my dream dinner party would be:

Leonardo da Vinci, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Michael Jackson.

The three small things that make my day better are:

Being productive at work, lovely food, and an early night.

Three things I haven’t done so far include:

Learn how to fly a plane, swim with sharks in the wild, and solo skydive.
