Work
After a 20-year career in sales and computing, John began working in financial services in 2002. He initially worked for the financial services arm of a firm of accountants based in Halifax.
John joined PenLife in 2011 and qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2012. He has a wealth of experience advising about pensions, with specific expertise in investments and Inheritance Tax planning.
John has extensive experience helping clients grow and protect their wealth, using a variety of tax-effective investment strategies to help clients achieve their goals and aspirations. John thoroughly enjoys the process of advising, and loves working with people who are open to ideas.
Rest and play
John lives between York and Malton with his partner, Julie. The couple have been in the same house for nearly 33 years!
In his spare time, John likes reading, gardening, walking, and music. He also plays U-Bass in a ukulele band, The Grand Old Uke of York.
